RPMC BROKERS
PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN COURTENEY COX AND
KINERASE®
SKIN CARE PRODUCTS
‘Friends’ Star Will Be Company’s First Spokesperson
CALABASAS, Calif. (May 25, 2005) – RPMC (www.rpmc.com), the
“excitement agency,” today announced that it has brokered an
agreement between actress Courteney Cox and Valeant
Pharmaceuticals International, making the TV star the face
of the company’s Kinerase® line of skin
care products in 2005.
Brokering the deal between
Cox Arquette and Valeant Pharmaceuticals represents an
extension of RPMC’s core business. The company provides its
clients with access to the world of entertainment and
sports, taking corporations closer to that world for
incentive travel and sales promotions, among other marketing
activities.
As the first spokesperson for Kinerase, Cox will represent
the brand through personal appearances and in Kinerase
support materials distributed throughout the United States,
Canada and Europe. Kinerase Cream is one of the leading
dermatologist-recommended moisturizers in those markets.
With a presence in Los Angeles, San
Francisco, Atlanta and London, RPMC is best known for
bigger-than-life promotional events and for creating “inside
the ropes” experiences that money can’t buy. The company
provides access to the most electrifying people, places and
events in the entertainment and sports industries for its
clients – leading national and international brands,
including McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Mattel and Budweiser.
Clients often offer RPMC promotions –
also known as “IncentEVENTS” – as rewards for their top
salespeople. RPMC is actively involved with exclusive
promotions around both the Grammy Awards and the “Night of
100 Stars.” At the “Night of 100 Stars,” select individuals
attend one of the most popular Academy Award viewing parties
with some of Hollywood’s hottest celebrities.
“The Kinerase/Cox partnership is just
the latest example of the kind of access that RPMC has long
been able to provide,” said Murray Schwartz, RPMC co-owner.
“Courteney Cox is one of the world’s most beautiful and
recognized faces, which makes her a natural fit to represent
the
Kinerase product line.
“Increasingly, our business is about providing access and
connections for our clients,” Schwartz said. “Our
stock-in-trade is to provide unforgettable experiences that
are perfectly tailored to motivate a sales force, reward
customers or enhance a brand. Ultimately, this kind of
access serves strategic business goals, whether saving
money, generating revenue, or both.”
Cox is best known for her role as “Monica” on the hit TV
series “Friends.” People Magazine has named her one of its
“50 Most Beautiful People” and she will appear in several
upcoming motion pictures. Cox also runs Coquette, a
successful production company she formed with her husband,
actor David Arquette. She is also producing television
projects for a number of networks and is developing a full
slate of feature films.
Valeant Pharmaceuticals International produces an entire
line of Kinerase products. The key ingredient in Kinerase is
Kinetin, a nature-identical plant growth factor that allows
the skin to retain more moisture, making the skin feel
firmer and healthier, improving the skin’s overall
appearance. In a 24-week study of Kinerase Cream, 90
percent of participants reported an improvement in the
texture of their skin and 87 percent reported an overall
improvement in the appearance of their skin.
Today, the Kinerase family of products includes Kinerase
Cream, Kinerase Lotion, Kinerase Gentle Daily Cleanser,
Kinerase Intensive Eye Cream, Kinerase with SPF 15 and
Kinerase C6 Peptide Intensive Treatment.
