RPMC’s contract extended through the 51st Awards Show in
2009
Los Angeles, CA, January 18 , 2007 -- RPMC, the
travel/entertainment marketing and promotions agency with
offices in the US and Europe, will continue to serve,
through 2009, as the official travel promotions agency for
the music industry’s most prestigious awards show, the
GRAMMY®
Awards. RPMC, now serving for its fourth year working with
The Recording Academy®,
will implement a variety of different targeted promotions
using its marketing and branding expertise to continue to
grow awareness and tune-in for the 49th Annual GRAMMY
Awards, to be broadcast from Los Angeles’ Staples Center on
the CBS Television Network, Sunday, February 11, 2007 at 8PM
ET/PT.
RPMC will work with The Recording Academy, its sponsors, and
the media in the areas of travel promotions and hospitality.
As part of the outreach campaign, RPMC will be coordinating
the sales and distribution of tickets to the show to create
tune-in awareness for the broadcast. In addition, RPMC will
work with all CBS affiliates as well as radio stations
executing promotional programs around the GRAMMYs show;
providing all affiliate trips to the February 11 awards
ceremony. In the area of travel promotions, RPMC will
secure and manage all air travel, hotel accommodations,
ground transportation, hospitality services and additional
activities.
This year, RPMC will be providing travel fulfillment to the
winners of the “McDonald’s Merry Monopoly” instant-win game
(partnering with McDonald’s Germany), and winner of the
“Street Idol” promotion (partnering with Telstra in
Australia).
For this year’s ceremonies, RPMC’s unique travel GRAMMY
incentive packages include VIP invitations to the official
star-studded GRAMMY Celebration after party at the
Los Angeles Convention Center. Guests will walk from the
Staples Center where the Awards are taking place to the
Convention Center immediately following the ceremonies.
