GETS NOD FROM MAJOR BROADCAST AND CABLE NETWORKS FOR
PROMOTIONS, TRAVEL SERVICES ENGAGEMENTS
CALABASAS, Calif. (Aug. 03, 2005) – In series of votes of
confidence from some of the nation’s biggest television
properties, RPMC (www.rpmc.com),
“the excitement agency,” today announced that it has been
named the travel services and promotions provider for
special events for the CBS, TBS, TNT and E! Entertainment
networks.
“It’s enormously gratifying to know that such influential
industry players acknowledge our special skill set by
rewarding us with high-visibility promotions, especially
because some of these represent return engagements,” said
Murray Schwartz, partner and co-founder, RPMC. The company
is increasingly known for its distinctive IncentEvents
travel promotion and sales incentive programs, which deliver
singular “behind the ropes” experiences for organizations
and individuals.
CBS, America’s “Tiffany Network,” is looking to RPMC to
handle all travel arrangements and on-site logistics for the
network’s annual Fall Premiere Radio Party. For the seventh
year in a row, RPMC will supervise important
behind-the-scenes services for this series of live radio
broadcasts heard throughout the country promoting the
network’s fall line-up of shows. The event is scheduled to
take place on Sept. 10.
With 15 years of remote broadcast experience, RPMC is
well-equipped to handle virtually all logistical details,
including flying all DJs and production staff into Los
Angeles from around the country for the live broadcast.
RPMC is managing such other customized elements as the
construction of individual broadcast booths, which enables
radio personalities to conduct interviews CBS stars.
For TBS network, RPMC has been engaged to promote both
seasons of its most recent reality programming, “The Real
Gilligan’s Island.” TBS teamed with RPMC to create yet
another compelling live radio promotion from an
appropriately-themed locale in paradise. The strategy for
season one had RPMC managing all travel-related activities
involved in bringing radio personalities from 20 major U.S.
markets to Paradise Island for live feeds from the Atlantis
Resort in the Bahamas.
For season two, a similar strategy has been deployed, this
time bringing DJs from 20 markets to Miami’s South Beach.
In both cases, more than 150 guests were treated to fun, sun
and interviews with each of the 14 castaway cast members.
RPMC also arranged private yacht trips and lavish wrap
parties featuring name entertainment.
Separately, RPMC managed all outbound, inbound
and on-site logistics for a highly successful junket in
support of TNT’s popular drama, “Into the West.” To
generate buzz for the show, radio personalities from 20
markets were flown into Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where they
were given access to 12 of the show’s stars to conduct live
interviews. RPMC ensured that the overall experience was a
hit for the DJs by also organizing such western-themed
activities like white water rafting, hot air ballooning and
visiting a 100-acre ranch for dinner and a private concert.
The publicity benefits were exceptional, with “Into the
West” pulling the number two slot for all shows the night of
its debut.
Rounding out the recent wins, iconic showbiz
network E! Entertainment renewed an important relationship
with RPMC this spring. For the third year in row, RPMC
managed all sweepstakes for the network, encompassing
administration, rule writing, prize fulfillment and
assisting show sponsors tie-in to both on-air and online
promotions.
