RPMC HISTORY
THE BIRTH OF A BUSINESS
In the late 70's two high school friends, Robert Olshever and Murray Schwartz, took their passion for music and published a magazine called Raw Power. Raw Power Magazine (RPM) was a music "fanzine" with artist interviews and concert reviews. In addition to the magazine, Robert and Murray began promoting concert events. Both business ventures established them as players in the music industry at a very young age.
After college Murray and Robert began revving up their entrepreneurial engines once again.
The year was 1983 and the band, Journey, was at
its peak; they
worked with the band and proposed offering fans a vacation package "Journey with Journey," which included travel, accommodations, concert tickets and a variety of Rock n' Roll activities. Journey's publicist offered the fan club mailing list. The program was a huge success and RPMC was born.
Soon after,
RPMC began marketing Rock n' Roll vacations to radio stations for use as on-air giveaways. Then
RPMC began to add other entertainment, sports and worldwide events to
its arsenal ... the company was on its way.
THE CORPORATE INITIATIVE BEGAN
Corporate America welcomed RPMC's fresh, breakthrough, marketing initiatives with open arms. RPMC quickly partnered with Anheuser-Busch, LA Gear, Gillette and others in the research, design and implementation of a wide range of music, entertainment and sports promotion programs. In short order
RPMC added travel incentives and hospitality, event marketing, mobile marketing, lifestyle marketing, sweepstakes
and concept development to their list of competencies.
RPMC TODAY
Almost 23 years later RPMC continues to pioneer
new concepts in entertainment marketing and
promotions. With global representation in Los
Angeles, New York, Atlanta and London RPMC
is able to meet the needs of a clientele roster
that includes some of the leading national and
international brands.
